Greetings Kenilworth Elementary Cougars!
Welcome to the 2023-24 school year! We are excited to have you and your scholar(s) with us this year. We want to assure you that our mission is to close the achievement gap by helping our scholars experience academic, social and emotional growth. This year our focus will be on an inclusive student-centered environment, emphasizing rigorous intentional instruction, preparing students to be college and career ready while building stronger relationships as a community. I am honored to have been selected to be a part of the Kenilworth family and I look forward to serving and supporting the entire school community.
Our goal is to ensure that everyone feels welcomed, safe and included. Our parents are our scholar's first teachers and our partners in education. Together this will be an excellent school year. It takes a village, and the Kenilworth family shares the responsibility in ensuring the success of our scholars.
Throughout the year, there will be constant communication via the KES website, School Messenger, Class Dojo, text alerts, emails, telephone calls, and notices carried by your scholar providing you with information about the academic program, events and activities.
With that being said, new student orientation will be Friday, August 25, 2023 from 7:45-9:45 a.m. For our returning students, we will host "Sneak a Peek" from 10:00-11:00 a.m. The first day of school will be Monday, August 28. Our school hours are 7:45 a.m. - 1:55 p.m. Please be mindful that no student should arrive to school prior to 7:30 a.m. We look forward to an exciting school year!
