Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year at Thurgood Marshall MS!
Dear TMMS Students, Families, and Community,
As we begin the 2025-2026 school year, I am thrilled to welcome each of you to Thurgood Marshall Middle School. We are excited to embark on another journey of learning, growth, and achievement together.
At TMMS, our primary goal is to create an environment where every student feels safe, secure, and welcomed. We believe that when students feel valued and supported, they are more likely to engage deeply in their learning and achieve their highest potential. This year, we are committed to fostering a culture of open communication and collaboration among students, families, and staff. Your involvement and feedback are essential as we work together to support our students' success.
Our rigorous instructional programs are designed to challenge and inspire our students, equipping them with the tools and resources they need to become lifelong learners and active contributors to their community. We are dedicated to providing a high-quality education that prepares our students for the future, both academically and personally.
We look forward to a year filled with meaningful learning experiences, strong relationships, and a shared commitment to excellence. Together, we can make this school year the best one yet for our TMMS students.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Let’s make the 2025-2026 school year a remarkable and successful one!
Warm regards,
Trina Hayes, Principal
Thurgood Marshall Middle School

Dear TMMS Students, Families, and Community ,
We’re excited to share that for the 2025–2026 school year, every student will be assigned a locker for their personal use. Lockers will provide students a secure space to store their belongings throughout the school day.
To help maintain a smooth and efficient hallway transition, students will only be permitted to visit their lockers twice a day: once before 1st Mod and once before 5th Mod. Please encourage your child to plan accordingly and bring what they need for the day between those times.
Thank you for your support as we continue to create a more organized and student-friendly environment.
Warm regards,
Trina Hayes, Principal
