We are STILL excited about the 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony, on June 8, for our 8th Graders, and we will not allow the Air Quality to "curb our enthusiasm". Below are the updates:
1. The "parade" will be held indoors.
2. Parents and students will arrive at the assigned arrival times, based on the class section numbers.
3. Parents are to park their cars in the side parking at their designated areas by class section (see signs). Only cars with students will be allowed in the designated parking area.
4. Remain in the car until directed to enter the building. In regards to the number of guests allowed for the Promotion Ceremony, just as with the outdoor parade, the number of individuals in the car with the student, up to 5 people, will be allowed in the building. Parking will not be available for extra cars since the parking lot will be used for the cars with the students. Only cars with students will be allowed on the parking lot.
5. Parents will be escorting their child(ren) in the procession. A school representative will inform each car when parents and students should exit the car and enter the building (side entrance near the front of the building).
6. Parents and students will be given directions once inside.
7. Parents, you can still decorate your cars if you desire, as Ms. Brooks will take pictures of decorated cars.
Please be patient and receptive, as these changes are in lieu of canceling the event. Our parades are very festive and never boring. It is a unique experience that is becoming popular. We all will enjoy this send-off for our students.
