• Tuesday, January 22, 2019 — PGCPS — Code Orange: PGCPS schools and offices will open with a two-hour delay.

    EMERGENCY PERSONNEL must report to work on time and are not eligible for liberal leave.

    • There will be no work-study transportation. (Those students should not report to school.)
    • There will be no half-day Early Childhood Center (ECC), half-day Special Education Programs, or half-day PreK.
    • Any other school program requiring transportation prior to 12 noon will NOT have transportation, including Howard B. Owens Science Center, JA Finance Park, and William S. Schmidt Center (Camp Schmidt)
    • All field trips will be cancelled.
    • Food Services will offer breakfast.
    We will re-evaluate at 6:30 a.m.

      We recently received the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Report Card summarizing our performance on the new Maryland Accountability System. We are pleased to announce we received an overall 4 out of 5 stars rating. Click on the link below for the ESSA parent letter and report.

      Please read the attached excerpt from Administrative Procedure 5116
      for Grade Appeals Authorizations.
        
      The process is as follows:
      2.     The student/parent will submit the original copy and the evidence to Mrs. Morton-Wilson IN ROOM 236.
      3.     Student will sign the appeal log to document submission of the appeal.
      4.     The grade appeal documentation will be scanned and submitted to the teachers for their review and response.
      5.     The completed form will be submitted to the Principal for review.
      6.     The principal will forward his response to the SIT chair (Mrs. Morton-Wilson). 
               The SIT grade appeal committee will review the appeal.
      7.     Students/ Parents / Teachers will be notified of the outcome of the SIT Grade Appeal committee decision within 15 days of the release of the quarter report card with exception to the 4th quarter.
      8.     ALL GRADE APPEALS FOR QUARTER 1 OF THE 2018-2019 ACADEMIC YEAR ARE DUE TO MRS. MORTON-WILSON BY FRIDAY NOVEMBER 30, 2018 AT 9:00AM IN ROOM 236.
      9. You must fill out a grade appeal form for every class that you file a grade appeal for.

    • 2017-2018 PARCC scores are available
      The SY2017-2018 PARCC Score Reports will be distributed in English classes the week of October​ 15, 2018.  Please take a moment to review the report with your child. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child's Guidance Counselor.
    • Progress Reports

      1st Quarter Progress Reports will be released on Friday, October 12, 2018. If you have not already done so, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with PGCPS Grade Reporting procedures:
