Arts Integration
Arts Integration in PGCPS is an educational approach that weaves the arts into core academic subjects, allowing students to explore and understand concepts through creative expression. This method fosters deeper learning by engaging multiple intelligences and providing diverse pathways to knowledge. Through arts integration, students develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity, while also gaining a richer appreciation for both the arts and academic content. Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) offers a diverse range of educational experiences designed to cater to various student interests and learning styles. Among these are the Specialty Programs, which provide an expansion of curricular options for students in Pre K-12 by providing students with a choice of unique learning opportunities focused on a specific interest.
A PGCPS student information number is required to apply for a Specialty Program.
