Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year!

Dear Northview families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I hope your summer has brought moments of rest, joy, and connection. As we prepare to open our doors once again, I want to thank you for your continued trust and partnership. It remains my great privilege to serve as Principal, and I enter this new year with a deepened sense of purpose and focus.

At Northview, we remain committed to Pursuing Excellence in every aspect of our work. This year, our priorities will center on strengthening academic achievement, improving daily attendance, deepening our commitment to social-emotional learning, and cultivating a strong, connected school community. We believe these four pillars are essential to helping every child grow into a confident, capable learner.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Celia Burton, our new Community School Coordinator. Mrs. Burton will play a key role in strengthening our connections with families, the PTO, and our community partners. Her work will help ensure that our school remains a place where every family feels seen, supported, and engaged.

A strong home-school partnership is the foundation of student success. We ask for your continued support in establishing routines that ensure students are present, on time, and ready to learn each day. We also encourage you to stay engaged, attend school events, and communicate regularly with your child’s teachers. Your involvement truly makes a difference.

We also ask that all parents register for ParentVUE as soon as possible. Teacher placements for the upcoming school year will be available exclusively through ParentVUE. If you need assistance with registration or account access, please contact the school office so we can support you.

As always, we will keep you informed through regular updates and reminders. If you have any questions, ideas, or needs, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to work alongside you, and we look forward to a year filled with purpose, growth, and shared success.

Let’s make this our best year yet.

With appreciation,
Shaun Mathis
Principal, Northview Elementary
