UPDATED; Friday, February 6, 2026 - Due to the possibility of inclement weather, bus transportation will not be provided for athletics or after-school and evening activities. Athletic practices will continue; however, there will be no athletic competitions except the state indoor track meet. Facility use will not be impacted.

Thursday, February 5 and Friday, February 6, 2026 - Code Orange - Schools and offices will open with a two hour delay. EMERGENCY PERSONNEL must report to work on time and are not eligible for liberal leave.

There will be no work-study transportation. (Those students should not report to school.)
Vendor managed care programs open at 9 a.m.
There will be no half-day Early Childhood Center (ECC), half-day Special Education Programs, or half-day PreK.
Any other school program requiring transportation prior to 12 noon will NOT have transportation, including Howard B. Owens Science Center, JA Finance Park, and William S. Schmidt Center (Camp Schmidt)
All field trips will be cancelled.
Food Services will offer breakfast.
Facility use will continue normally.
After school and evening activities will proceed, but no bus transportation will be provided.
Athletic practice will proceed as scheduled, but no bus transportation will be provided.
Athletic competitions are cancelled except for the state indoor track meet.

All students interested in participating in athletics programs at Laurel High School need to register and be approved in Aktivate prior to tryouts. You will need a current sports physical. Print out the proper form for your doctor to take with you.
