Monday, January 26, 2026 - CODE YELLOW - Schools are closed. All Offices are closed. Emergency personnel only must report to work. Educators will have a virtual self-directed professional day to complete end of quarter grade reporting, planning, and other professional duties.

April 29, 2024 - There are no changes to the bell times for the 2024-2025 school year.

For the 2024-2025 school year the school start time will remain 9:30 AM. The end time will remain 3:40 PM.

The decision to close schools is always made with safety as our top priority. PGCPS is committed to timely communication, and will provide daily updates to staff and families by 5 p.m. throughout the weather event.

The school district is ready to implement emergency meal services if schools are closed for an extended time. Please stay tuned to email, text alerts, the PGCPS website (pgcps.org), and our social media channels for the latest information.
