Greetings Pointer Ridge Family,

I am excited to extend a warm welcome to our new and returning families to Pointer Ridge Elementary for the 2023 - 2024 school year.   I hope you were able to enjoy quality time with family and friends during the summer break. I am looking forward to seeing our Pointer Ridge Panthers return to school with enthusiasm and a mindset of working hard!  

At Pointer Ridge, we pride ourselves with fostering a sense of community and belonging through a nurturing, safe and positive learning environment so every child can achieve academic success. I continue to be in awe of the passion, grit, dedication, and care that our staff embodies and it inspires me each day. I know this school year will be no different with teachers providing standards of high-quality instruction with deep care.

I look forward to welcoming our new Superintendent, Millard House II.  He comes from a family of educators and Superintendent House is passionate about creating high quality educational experiences for all students. Pointer Ridge Elementary School (PRES) is thrilled to continue to support the mission and vision of PGCPS under the leadership of Superintendent House.  The county will continue to focus on Mathematics, SEL, and Culture.  Based on data, PRES will align our goals with the county while addressing the specific needs of our students.  

It truly is an honor and privilege to serve our wonderful community.
