Black History Month is a time for our school community to honor and celebrate the rich history, culture, and contributions of African Americans who have shaped our nation and the world. Throughout the month of February, students will engage in meaningful learning experiences that highlight influential leaders, innovators, artists, and everyday changemakers whose courage, creativity, and perseverance continue to inspire us. At Pointer Ridge Elementary, we are committed to fostering respect, equity, and understanding by uplifting diverse voices and encouraging our students to reflect on how they can make a positive impact in their own communities—today and in the future.
